New feature: Easily share your Skred proxy

When access to our signaling servers is blocked in some countries, Skred can now use a personal proxy to restore the connection and let you communicate securely and privately.

This new feature allows anyone to host their own proxy or use one shared by someone else, while keeping the same level of security — proxies can never access the content being exchanged.

Setup is simple and quick thanks to a lightweight open-source program available here:

Once your proxy is running, it can be shared very easily: a simple link or QR code lets your contacts activate it automatically in their app, without entering any IP address.

This update strengthens the freedom and resilience of communication, giving everyone the power to bypass restrictions and help their communities stay connected.

Already supported on Android, very soon for iOS.
